When you are constantly on the defensive, you live life from a lack based mentality. Instead of being inclusive, you become divisive. Humanbeings are innately afraid of not ‘belonging’ so it becomes 2nd nature to attach ourselves to a cause. We adopt belief systems to stay safe. We create groups. Christians Vs Buddhists, Vegans Vs Meat Eaters, Runners Vs Crossfit, Black Vs White, Japanese Vs Chinese, University educated Vs Dropouts, Divorced, Single, Successful husband …Blah vs Blah Blah. This divisiness and need to belong somewhere, stems from a deep seated insecurity to ‘matter’ – People want to matter. Our power lies in understanding that we can matter without having to prove another’s way of life is wrong. Immaturity gives us a sense of self righteousness to become an authority on how other people should exist, this mentality belongs to the infancy of of our species.Lets leave a world where we bring people together.
