What a wonderful gift it is to support your friends and be on the side of your family. You don’t even have to agree with whatever they are doing but to be there as a smiling reassurance saying ‘You got this, we believe in you, you can do anything you set your mind to.’ or ‘I don’t understand all your decisions but I know your heart and I will always support that’
Thats surely the best gift one human can give another, apart from loving them. I once read a meme and it said, the ones not liking your pics are the ones paying the most attention, and I wondered why would we even have to think this way?! Love is simple, I like you, I love you, I want you to succeed in everything, I want you to be happy:) Thats love, I promise you, you will not run out of success, happiness or love if you are happy for another.
In fact the happier you can be for others, the opportunities that will literally fall out of the sky will astound you. In the same breathe, I am not just talking about Facebook and social media, I am talking about the times you send someone a message saying ‘Hey I know it’s a tough time, you’re in my thoughts’ or ‘all the best’ or ‘I know you’re trying your best, don’t be too hard on yourself’ – THIS, is what love is, this is what will ensure you too will always have people who truly love you by your side.
If you’re wondering why the love of your life left, why you can’t meet ‘the one’, look around and see how you can love more and be happy for others. Bitterness will leave you very alone in the world, the best people won’t want to be around that negative energy.
Behaviour is not who you are though, and once you come to understand how these things affect us negatively, you can change it. You could choose to celebrate humanity instead, you could choose to be happy for others, you could choose to stop judging their choices and just love them. Making people feel loved, heard and validated is the most beautiful legacy you can leave in the world.
